1. Read everyday!
2. Finish the good copy of your story
It’s already the midterm break! I hope everyone has a great time with
their family and friends.
One of the parents came in to do a lesson about calligraphy with Grade 4! It was a great connection to our health unit and students learned about focus and calming their emotions.

Cambridge Writing – Non-Fiction

We looked at the features of reports this
week. For example, we practiced using headings, table of contents, indexes, and
context to decode meaning.
Later this term, students will be writing
a non-chronological report.

Novel Study – The Tale of Despereaux
|
We finished
reading up to chapter 38. There is no novel summary sheet this week since it
is the midterm break. Students are free to read the book over the break.

PYP Unit 1 – Who We Are
|
With the ACTION
step of this inquiry unit, students will be using the knowledge and skills
they learned in the last few months to teach others about health.
They have
separated into groups and each group will teach a health-related activity to
another class in the school. They will be preparing and organizing everything
over the next few weeks. This activity will continue even after we start the
next unit of inquiry.
