October Japanese class JNL Newsletter

Dear Grade 4 parents,

Here is monthly Japanese class newsletter.
Please enjoy reading it.

I hope you have a nice Mid-term break!
Students have Japanese Kanji homework au usual and finish ondoku "短歌・俳句に
 親しもう” during Mid-term Break.

Ms. Hayashi

In this month, The Grade 4 JNL students read the story “Ookina chikara o dasu” and “Ugoite Kangaete mata Ugoku”. They understood how to give big power or how can we run fast from these story. They read the story carefully in a paragraph and learned the structures of the paragraphs. I thought that was a good timing to read these stories before our “Sports Day”. Also they consider this story connected to their “healty” which they learned at inquiry.
“Kanji no hiroba” sometimes appears in the textbook for kanji practice. They enjoyed looking at the picture, and then making sentences using some kanji. Students like this topic.
At the topic “TankaHaiku ni shitashimou”, students studied famous Haiku and Tanka. Now, it is a reading homework, and I hope they could memorize them by reading many times.

Thank you for your support for checking on reading homework.
I appreciate your support and cooperation.
